Yes...welcome, Mark.

I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Mark's fine guitars at the first NGF. He builds as fine an instrument as anyone out there. Clean as a whistle, and they play and sound fantastic. You Blanchard fans have good reason to be fans.
Hi Mark,

I've never seen one of your guitars, but I own a Silent Partner. You've single-handedly added more horror and bliss in my life than any other person. :D Welcome!
Ha ha. The Silent Partner, and climbing in general, has done the same for me !!

It is cool to meet another climber/guitar builder !!

Mark

Thanks again to everyone for making me feel welcome.
I appreciate that.

I hope I can find something to contribute.
There seems to be a ton of experience and talent here already !!

Mark

Not being among the "experience and talent here", I can easily say that you are right.  I have seen firsts that I thought impossible, and the many perspectives offered on different ways to accomplish a task really are great, so even if your advice is just one more perspective, it will be a valuable asset to those of us who are learning the art.  I look forward to seeing your ideas and views.

Also, aren't all those sharp tools dangerous enough?  You still need to go climbing?

Welcome, Mark. I am familiar with your work from the old 13th Fret. I played one of your guitars at one of the Glades Gang gatherings in Orlando a couple of years ago. I believe it was Bart's. Very nice.

This is a great place. I have been signed off for a while, but plan to spend more time here now that I have some of my remodeling projects behind me. Never, ever, ever, tear out a bathroom without professional help.

Sugar Pine is a type of Pine tree that grows in California. They are big trees that have HUGE cones, up to 18 inches long !!!

Blanchard trussrod
I was impressed with Mark's truss rod design shown here.
The two different thread pitches give a very precise adjustment.

Hi Mark-

Welcome to the OLF. It's nice to have you here, friend.

I was looking at your website and noticed in your gallery the guitar, Big Red. It's nice to see someone else who likes mare's tail coloring in Red spruce. That is a nice guitar.

Well, don't be a stranger, I'm sure we all will appreciate your participation here.
