You have to either go to the archive thread and conduct the search, or make sure you select the Archive forum for the search in the box under the search box.

Hi Mackie, welcome here

I always open the search in a new window (right click, open in new window).

Than you can type in your query, make sure that the "search forum" drop down is on the "Forum Archive" forum or you won't be searching the archives.

I use the "All Forums" option as this . . . well . . . err . . . searches all of the forums - Including the Archives

Thanks for the welcome and tips everyone. I've been
doing the things you've suggested and it all ways
brings me back to a page that says "enter" and once
I click on enter I'm always directed back to
theĀ 'Luthiers Forum Rooms" page.

When I joined the forum a few months back I was
able to access the archives, which leads me to
conclued that the problem can be a setting on my
Macintosh computer. I hope I'm able to troubleshoot
the problem, because I would like to benefit from all
the topics that have been discused here in the past.

That is a good recommendation.  I didn't know you were using a Mac.  I switched to Firefox because I was having so much trouble with IE-7, and it is great.

Hesh, you are very perceptive. I already had Mozilla
and accessed the forum using it, and it worked just
fine. It's time for me to stop using Internet Explorer.
As I'm sure you know, Microsoft no longer supports it
on Macintosh. Thank you, and the other forum
members who chimed in. Now on to the archives!!!

Don't get lost in there.  It's hard to get out once you start finding stuff.
