The band I play in had a couple of gigs at the National Celtic Festival a few weeks back and the engineer was kind enough to record a desk tape.

It's warts and all stuff, as most desk tapes are, but I thought I'd chuck a couple of songs on here for your musical edification .

It's Irish stuff, not trad Irish, so I hope you enjoy it.

As we're in a Celtic mood here's my take on the old Irish harp tune The Fair Haired boy.

I think we also do that tune but it's hardly recognisable given the raucous manner in which we deliver it.

Guys, those are really great.  Colin, I liked your version of Fair
Haired Boy.  Just to contribute to the Celtic Confusion, here's a rendition of  O'Carolan's, "Shebeg & Shemore" written for 4 guitars, and our version of Variations on "Scarborough Faire"  that we do at the
Renfest here in Charlotte.  If you want pics, and other clips, you can

Dave, that's really nice.  Good rendition.  I really like O'Carolan's works.  Great music.  I have been trying to get our arrainger, Mary Ann, to do a version of "Carolan's Concerto" for four guitars and whistle.
