Some might remember from my introduction thread,
that I was studying to be an amp tech and custom builder, before I decided that I didnt reaaaally want to risk 600VDC coarsing through my body for money,
(and would only risk it for my own personal ampbuilding enjoyment)
and decided to build guitars instead!
All in all I felt that it was a good decision.
Anyhow I did mod a few small amps during my study, but never got around to a full build..... which I always wanted to do.
So Ive decided to build the two stroke this fall, its a single ended amp with alot of guts and tone and luckily the author of the book "the guitar amp handbook" offer the complete component array in a single a kit, so I dont have to track everything down.
Anyhow James Im really pleased that your enjoying the ampbuilding so much! Are you part of the trinity amps forums? I thought perhaps you might be on account of your first build.
Filipo - good job - tweed replicas certainly ARE nice little amps for just about any electric guitar!
Good Job,
and yes you certainly are right about Mission Amps - very top notch in every way!
Cheers
