Well there was no response for the small Kingwood board on the auction site. It might have been too small for anything... soooo.

I'm going to try to put the whole shebang on at the same time. It includes the cutoff box as well as the +1" thick 7 footers in the pic.

There is 1-6", 1-8", 7-4", and a 4" that I cut in two 1/2 inch thick pieces.

It will be interesting to see how the auction goes. It is about 24bd. ft. of lumber plus some off cuts. Pictures will be extreamly important of each piece front and back, as well as the most accurate description of condition(planer hits, checking, cracking, punky spots). My gut tells me most would not buy all of those pieces at retail($30-35bd.ft) if they were looking through a bin at a lumber yard, so I am sure bids will be based on the part of the lot that are of value to them. Then there is shipping that has to play into the equation(which will add several dollars a bd. ft. to the cost), weighing the lot might be helpful so a shipping estimate can be figured into how much they can pay. I hope it goes well for you, and get plenty of good pictures and info so the guys can offer as much as they can justify .

I hope you don't mind me saying this but the reserve might not be a good idea - just put a starting bid that you can live with. As a constant bidder on ebay, I don't like reserve auctions - there are many problems with them for both bidder and seller.

What might be better would be selling the offcuts in a seperate auction and sell the other boards 2 at a time. The last time I bought that much wood at a time, I think the shipping was $150-200 or more. You might have a better chance to sell this seperately.

Just my opinion though and good luck.

Are you sure it's all kingwood? Some of the cut offs in the box look like coco bolo.

considering the size of the boards, I would suggest selling seperately with full board dimensions.
