I've seen that one on the web somewhere recently. i think it's a Ken parker.

I have a question:

I notice that the tail piece is slanted, and aparently some sort of compensation since the bridge doesnt seem to have any slant to it. Will this work for compensation since it is behind the saddle?

Ken, I think it is just the angle of the guitar that makes the bridge look like it is not compensated.  I zoomed in on it, and I think it is slanted.

Impressive! Looks like he used the most expensive woods he could find, too--Adirondack Spruce, high-flame Koa (for the neck, also), and Pernambuco appointments.

Did you notice the bindings are proud of the sides, like a violin? His laminated linings are pretty cool, too. If you can't hide it, make it look pretty!

Yeah, if you look close, you'll see that they are not bindings but the plates going proud of the sides and just inlaid purfs.

Ha! Yep, that would explain the light "bindings" on the top and the dark ones on the back...

   For intonaion to be achievedm the saddle or top of the bridge nees ti
bem and is on this guitar, compensated. The anchor point orientation in
the tailpiece behind the bridge will have no bearing on intonation at all.

    This guitar sounds incredible and I hope to own one of Ken Parker's
acoustic creations one day.

    His Fly model electrics are so innovative that they haven't received the
recognition that they should. I play one as my main electic at least 90% of
the time that I play live and it just works.

   I'm sure the quality of his acoustics will equal that of his electrics and I
hope they're received well as they begin to show up in the market.

That's one nice looking guitar, I don't usually go for archtops, but that just appeals. The only bit I would change are the tuning knobs which just look kind of wrong to me.

I'd like to see inside so I can see how he supports the top (I know nothing about archtops!) as his soundhole is at the end of the bridge. I guess it's to do with the profile of the plates. Forgive my ignorance.

Very nice instrument.  But to my eye, it isn't a Parker until he squares off the end of the horn.

Most acoustic archtops are X-braced. Don't know for sure, though, with Parker.
