<groan> Man, am I envious of you today. Gorgeous set of Brazilian from Brad, and a new Festool drill!
You sure are deserving of it though Hesh. Congrats!

I so wish I could get the cheap prices you guys get on festool stuff.  Most of it is at least 2.5 times more expensive in Australia!!!  If it wasn't for the different voltage ratings I'd be buying festool tools from the states and paying the shipping to Australia and still come out at half price.

I forgot to add that I've already emailed Festool USA to ask whether they do a 240V version of the shop vac, but they didn't even bother to reply... so I guess that's a no.

The basic C12 package in the US = $345.00USD = $401.27AUD

Basic C12 package in Australia = $840.40AUD = $722.65USD

So, yes, Festool is cheap in the USA

Oops!  Ready the wrong line on the Aussie website.

It's $607.20AUD for the basic C12 package = $522.16USD.

So it's only half again as much.  Festool tools really get my TAS going!  Which is why I'm SO annoyed that there is such a price difference.

Man I love festool
It is so expensive, but the quality is worth it. When my drill finally dies, I will
get one. I just cannot rationalize it right now.

They are the best engineered tools on the market
