Its not done yet, but it will be

This one is in the home stretch. I did the back bindings and end graph last night, the top tonight, then all that is left is a final neck fitting and finish sanding.
As bad as I would like to take this one to Healdsburg also, its not going to make it. It is a customers guitar and he has waited a fair amount of time, so I would not feel right holding it one day longer than I have to, OR risking sending it to CAL

Anyways, standard stuff from me, LS Redwood top, cocobolo back and sides, sapwood accents, and brw bindings, rosette, fretboard headstock overlay (w/sap) and bridge (w/sap).

Thanks for looking. Next shots will be from the white room!











Next on the agenda, LS Redwood Cocobolo OMFS, two weeks out I feel like I'm stuck in the twilight zone

Lance, you sure you need to get that one finished.  It looks like it is now.  Beautiful wood, and the grain is already popping out like it has nitro on it.  Is that from filling?

Very pretty. I especially like your new minimalist rosettes and that sapwood on the back is great! Rosewood binding on any rosewood body is one of my favorites.   What is that white line under the binding.

You do plan to eventually glue that fingerboard to the neck don't you? :0)

really, really nice. can't believe how cleanly some of you guys are able to work. probably takes almost no time to get it ready for finish when the time comes. any tutorials on doing such clean work (common practices that some of us newbies might overlook) would be greatly appreciated.
by the way lance, is that reverse kerfing on the back and regular kerfing on the top?

John Mayes, the back has darkend a bit, the sides were sanded more recently. They are good match when all freshly sanded.
