Since many of us are not going to make it to California, I thought I show one of the two guitars I will be bringing with me.

This one is a 00-12 fret of african mahogany and a 100 yr old red spruce top. the top was salvaged from a beam that came out of a feed mill that was built in 1903.

i used curly maple for my bindidngs and purflings and rosette, and brazilian rosewood f-board and bridge.

thanks for looking
Matt

Beautiful guitar Matt!

I love the use of reclaimed wood from the turn of the century too. I'm sure this guitar has a tone that is unbeatable.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks very much guys.

I`m not real big on discribing the sound of guitars, but i feel that this guitar is one of my best to date.
I hope some of you can take a minute to play it a little and tell me what you think.

john Mayes, will you be at Healdsburg? I was hoping to meet you there.

Matt

Sweet Matt,

The more I see these wonderful instruments that are being turned out at the OLF by our more experienced builders, the more I become besotted by these smaller body guitars.

Wonderful stuff

Cheers

Kim

In my book, that's as good as guitars get.

beautiful guitar. I want to make some clever pun about the gauge of all phine guitars, but my mind is too flabergasted by an excellent discussion i just read.

Matt,
Everytime I see one of your beauties it makes me one to go home and smash one of mine. It's just not fair
I love simple and elegant guitars, and this is one of the cleanest I've seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing, and good luck at Healdsburg. Wish I could go and play this Matt.
Tracy

Nice guitar dude. Very tasteful.

Maybe next week, I'll take her for a test drive.
