Hey all,

Just wanted to let you all know that I have been away for a bit, resulting in
my absence from the forum. When I returned I found that my computer
had partially crashed and I lost some data. So now I own an apple and
will be spending a bit of time transferring things over and getting back up
to speed. On the wood side of things I am still low! But the great news is
that I am ready to start to process the recent tree that I posted and I have
shipments arriving soon from India and Africa. As well I have a bunch of
back and side sets that I will posting shortly in the woodshed, once I get
them all dug out.

It is great to see things are the same here and I will be popping in fairly
regular again. I do have a bunch of orders to get out as well and they will
all be on their way soon!

Shane

Hi Shane.  We were just talking about you.. Were your eyes burning?   We have missed your regular input.  Sorry for your  problems, hope it didn't put you out too much.  It's a bummer when your computer crashes..  Good luck on getting things transferred.  Welcome back too.  Let us know when things are back to normal.

Thanks guys! It really is good to be back! I just want to welcome Nathane
back as well!!

I tidied the shop a bit and hope to add some guitar making progress shots
soon, and maybe some new top pics as well.

I wondered why there were no posts from ya!
Greenie asked me in Montreal if I'd gotten any tops from you lately!
He is anxious to get his!

Maurice Roy stopped by my table to look at what he called the "Hybrd"
He liked it!
What a character!

I had 2 lutz topped guitars there!
Many other makers asked about the tops also because there were cut so perfect ,and had great silk!
!

take care
Mike
How's the "Flammer " coming alomg?

Hey Mike!!! Ya Greenie is chomping at the bit. But I have list like that now and am working on it everyday! I haven't meet Maurice yet but I did talk to him and he was going to stop by but I didn't hear from him. The Flammer is started now but progress is slow and I want to finish my steel string before I get too involved in more.

How did the show treat you? Are the orders pouring in!

Shane
Shane, what kind of sets will you be posting?
Let me see....

FANCY Bubinga, flamed maple, EIR, Black Acacia, maybe a couple of Birch
sets, I might have others, I need to look. I will processing again soon so I
hope to add a few Spruce sets as well and some coloured cedar sets.

Johnny! I like my new MAC but I am still figuring out how to do the cross
over from windows.....
Welcome back Shane!!!

You will love the Mac and let me know if I can help with the transition. I run
OS 10, XP, and VISTA all on a single Mac lap top so I am pretty good at
translating the functionality of one OS to the other.
Cool Hesh, you will be hearing from me! I have XP and OS 10.4 on here and
I do have a few issues, although I am figuring them out a little at a time!

I've got an MacBook Pro I run XP and OSX on right now. It was the best notebook I could find that ran XP and had a dual-link DVI port on it last August! The MacOS thing was just a perk.

Heh Shane -

I just switched to a Macbook Pro, and it's the first machine I've had that makes me want to walk away from having a desktop (although I have to deal with the fact that I have 2 terabytes of full disk on my linux desktop)

I'm getting ready to use the first of the lutz tops you sent me. They are beautiful. Thanks!
