Just got it yesterday, and there are some very interesting articles in it. Including an article on the Colorado Luthiers that I am a member of. The topic is eye candy, and there is some amazing guitars in there. Even 1 of Craig's inlays are displayed, by far the best inlay I have ever seen. This is his clownfishes poking out of some anemone. Great job Craig! Allan Carruth has got a great article on the sounding modes, and even David Bland has an article on Taxes for Luthiers. All in all, a very informative magazine. I salute Rick Davis for a wonderfully executed magazine, and sorry to see that you are retiring from your duties at ASIA after this symposium. But in 2 years, we'll get to see you in a classroom enjoying the workshops!

Being that inlay is a subjective thing at some level, I looked at Judy Threet's inlays (goose, leaves, owl) and almost at once felt like a begginer again..
Man are they nice! She has a vision I just don't have yet.
It must be a Canadian thing, Judy, Grit, Linda, Sheldon, there must be something in the water!
Actually, there is probably less in the water there than here in Florida. Maybe the extra stuff is clouding me!
Thanks anyway,

I am leaving Monday for ASIA.
See you there!
John- if you read this- the guitar got here safe- man, it's a beauty. It rings like a piano as well!

Craig
