Lots of people used that phrase over the years in both radio and tv but since you probably heard heard it in the SF bay area I'm guessing on KSFO but I can't tell you the name of the personality.
Yes. You are VERY warm. Time frame was 1960's (and later on other stations).

Besides KSFO, all I can remember are "KEWB Channel 91" and "Radio KYA 1260" as a kid, and later, KSAN.

So we'll know when we have the new software when we see an edit button?

All great radio stations in the SF Bay area going back into the late 1950's-early 1960's.
Told you this question would "eliminate" the youngsters in the group.

If there is no correct answer by the time I get back from church today, I'kk post the answer.

And Hesh, where do you want me to send the baggie of floor sweepings you won for the Alfonso Bedoya answer? There might even be some brazilian rosewood dust in it!

Hi Lance, That sounds great. Things have been geting a littlestale around here. change is always good.
Names are important as well. The guy that names himself: Letseatpaste blows my mind. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but his name is offensive!!
I would be willing to help if you need any. thanks very much. Walter

You are right Hesh, Jon is a great guy. Id much rather we all us some form of our real name, as mentioned on the sign up screen, but it is one of those things that are very hard to enforce.

Speaking of Jon, have you ever seen his website? I nearly laughed my self to death at the simple line " I love to pop wheelies!"

Too funny!

I'm trying to figure out how my name is offensive? Like Hesh said, it's just a reference to kids eating paste ("Let's eat paste"). It stemmed from not being able to find an AOL screen name several years ago, everything was taken so I picked one I thought noone would possibly want. :) I use it all the time now whenever I need a login name.

I still am racking my brains trying to figure out how it can be misconstrued into something offensive. No hard feelings, Walter, just curious!

Yes, but played backwards it's "Paul is dead"...or is it "John is the walrus"? I dunno!

Zac, what we are hoping to do is switch the current board to "read only" then capture the DB, convert it, dump it and go live. This should not take an overly long time. We have already successfully converted a "sample" copy of the DB for testing purposes and it worked great, except for the Password issue.

I'm thinking maybe when the OLF gets   its new face, I'll put one on too, give up my alias and post count, and re-register with my real name. Guess I glossed over the request for real names when I registered.

Waitin for the new OLF with baited breath!!

Looks like my old Nikormat. Been shooting pictures with it since 1971. It even went swimming once!

Will the "New Forum" incorporate a Spell Checker?

Some of us are really poor spellers.

Bad spelling can really affect a "Search" in the Archives.

I use the spell checker in the Google tool bar. It works fantastic!
