This might be of interest to UK and European OLF'ers. It's the first of it's kind in the UK to my knowledge - there are smaller events like the annual Lewes Guitar Festival - but a lot of respected UK builders will be there including Andy Manson, Patrick James Eggle, Dave King and Brook Guitars.

For my sins I also have signed up for a stand, and I'm in slight panic mode with just under three weeks to go and two instruments in the works.

I hope to see some OLF'ers in Cheltenham on the 8th or pth September.

I was the VERY first person to buy the tickets.

When my copy of "Acoustic Guitar" magazine was sent to me, I saw the CG show advertised and thought, "I'd better get me skates on!"

When I telephoned the poor box office made the ticket database live for the CG show yet!! Within an hour, they rang back, and my tix are waiting for me to go and get 'em on the day...

Some may say I move faster than my shadow.....I say that I am REALLY looking forward to this....can anyone tell????

"When I telephoned the poor box office hadn't made the ticket database live for the CG show yet!!!"

I need to calm down...

Congrats Dave, good luck with the prospect of showing your work. Very innovative, especially your harp guitar.

I've heard of your Andy Manson. He actually posted here once. He was looking for the parents of a lost boy carried away in the Tsunami.

Andy built the Magpie II played by Matt Redman. It's a quite curvy model similar to an SJ.

Andy also has a great spread in one of my guitar books. Page 28 and 29 of The Complete Guitarist, by Richard Chapman, forword by Les Paul, 1993. It contains an exploded photo of all the parts of an A.B.Manson guitar. Pretty cool.

We want pictures, lots of pictures.

Thats great Dave. I've seen enough of your work here that I'm sure you will have a good show. Don't forget us when you are one of those respected UK builders.
