What is everybody using for their offset (outer edge of string to edge of FB on E & e) just being nosiy

It tapers from the nut on up but I like at least 1/8" on average. I like to play aggressive sometimes and tend to vibrato notes. If the string slips off the edge of the fret, I've made it too narrow. I'm probably not your average joe though. I've got long fingers and like to make wider necks because of that fact. It will be useful to know what to build as an average though. What should we make it for a guitar to sell?

Michael--I dunno. I simply make the fretboard--at the 14th fret--the same width as the string spacing at the bridge and it all works out. Eg., if the spacing is 2 3/16", then the fretboard is that width where it joins the body. Etc. It averages out to around 1/8, perhaps a bit more.

Oh

Ok, that number I do know. 3/32 on the little e, 1/8 to the center of the string slot on the big E.

3/32" measured at the 1st fret. Outside of both E strings to edged of FB.
