It's my life time interest and desire to build a guitar. I've had the joy of making a ukulele for the first time and what an experience!!

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

This project will be very special to me because it will be a bonding experience with my son. He and I have this one thing in common, the love and appreciation of music and guitar building. He will be able to pass this guitar on to his child with the knowledge he help build it.

In closing, if anyone out there shares the same interest or experience, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and your knowledge of luthiering.

Hi Mark. Welcome to the forum.

If you are still on Oahu check out the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii. Lot's of builders willing to help newbies along and some should have guitar building experience.

I'm on the Big Island and we have a chapter here too but I'm not sure if any of the other islands have one. It's a great organization.
