Shane, it's always cool to see these pics, and it looks like a mountain of
work. One thing I was wondering after the post though was if you're out
of Lutz tops? If I were to order from you this week, would I be waiting a
few months?

Hey, I've been out cutting wood a lot myself these last couple weeks. Some really nice stuff that's going to make some great...

fires in our woodstove this winter.

Seriously, though, great work, Shane. Your busy life sounds a lot like mine. I'm glad you're able to get out and do this, for the benefit of all of us. Thanks.

Shane, I just want to say how much I appreciate your hard work.I`ve done quite a bit of logging, and I know how much work it is.Also, the Lutz top I received from you made the best sounding guitar I`ve ever heard.Let me know when the lumber is ready I`d love to build more guitars with Lutz.
                  Thanks James

Hey James,

I still have a few sets kicking around but very few. This wood has been on the ground for 2 months already and I can have it dried (not seasoned) in about 3 weeks after it is resawn. Some people like the wood to do a cycle of seasons or two before they use it. Except for the tops I keep for myself it is rare these days that I have wood that has been processed for more than a month or two. It does happen but these days I always seem to carry a waiting list for larger orders. I do try to keep a few sets around for small orders as this is where I really got started.

Hope that helps!!

Shane

Well you know Mike, up here we are manly enough to wear any ole shoes!! .

This Llamas are one of the reasons I find myself behind. Man they can clear out a pen in a hurray!! I had to fence in more area for them. I have 45 acres but I am not prepared to do all of that at once!! I still have to build a small barn abd hay storage area before the snow flies. I have the area cleared and footings will go in soon. But I need to make sure that I have enough spruce to get me through to next summer at least. So that is another 2 to 4 trees!! My head hurts every time I think of the list of things to do... .

Good to here from you! I do plan on starting to brace up a couple of flammers this winter...looking forward to that!!

Shane

Hey Shane... Don't forget to save the best ones for me! You know what I like!
Are you planning any Weissenborne sets from this tree?
Figured I'd better ask before you cut the whole thing into 24" lengths!
Thanks for the great pics!
Dan

Thanks again

Shane[/QUOTE]

Shane, I have the same problem with Safari and posting pics up on this and other forums. Like you I have no problems posting up pics using Firefox.
