I finally got around to finishing the African Mahogany dread tonight. It is topped with Englemann spruce and MOP rosette and purflings.  Mahogany neck, Curly maple bindings. Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. She has a LOUD LOUD LOUD voice, but is well tempered for a dread and her highs are as equal as the lows. Resonance is remarkable. She has a traditional ladder braced back and parabolic top bracing.

I got carried away when I was fitting the neck and sanded more than I wanted to. I used a little trick I learned here at the OLF to solve that little problem.

This is a commissioned guitar. I normally dont use pick guards, but the customer wanted it. It will go out soon and I'll be sure to post some pictures of the happy customer.

Thanks for looking,

Ken

Mmmm-mmm, you got a nice color on that mahogany!
And the maple is a sweet contrast.

Fine-looking guitar!

Steve

It is just the lighting. I polished the headstock so much that it was like a mirror. Every time I tried to take a picture of it all I would get was a bright blurr. I finally got this picture of it by taking it from the side.

Thanks for all of the kind reviews!

Ken
