I did get my wood from Berry Kerr. He's a terrific guy to deal with, and has been really helpful in getting the appropriate woods together for me. I chose to do this one because of seeing one of his guitars that just made my jaw hit the floor. I sent him a picture of this one yesterday and he's most impressed.

Hi praise indeed from all of you. I've seen many guitars here and I'm just in awe of how many talented people take the time to post pictures of their work here. It's great inspiration and a way for me to pick up ideas and move the goal post a little farther with each build.

BTW, I just did a bit more set up today after work. I lowered the action at the saddle by 1.5mm and it has made a huge difference. It's probable a touch on the high side but I'll let it settle in for a couple of weeks and then do some more tweaking. The buzz that I was getting on the high I and low E has turned out to be the saddle being just a little to flat on the top. I had a look at Frank Fords discussion about saddles and picked up that today as well. Just a little bit more of a profile on the saddle solved the problem.

The sound now is quite bright and much louder than the previous guitars that I've built.

You mentioned that you got the wood from Barry Kerr. Is he a supplier? If so, I would love to contact him and see if I can get some of that killer Cypress for making a flamenco. Do you have a link?
