I really like the minimalist appearance of the T5 knobs....which has
got me wondering what kind of pots they're attached to (and how the
pots are attached to the instrument).



Has anybody had one of these bad boys apart and seen what's under the
hood?  Some kind of mini-pot?  Or PCB-mounted thing?

Hi Erik, it is a whole pcb mounted affair when it is removed (with a Taylor specified tool, not too hard to make) the preamp section comes out with the pots attached.

Thanks Evan....sounds to me like they're using pots with 1/8" shafts, at least that's what I'd guess from looking at the knobs.



I was thinking about using some small pots like that in a passive
pickup circuit for a solidbody electric, but so far its been a bit of a
challenge finding 250k or 500k audio-taper pots with 1/8" shafts...
