I just want to say thank you to those who took time out of what appeared to be a very busy and hectic schedule to post pictures and comments both during and after ASIA. For those of us who couldn't make it to the symposium it was nice to still see and hear about the going-ons (is this actually a word?) and see some faces attached to the names we've come to know.

I'm glad to hear you had a great time and that everyone made it home safely, albeit a bit road weary..........Now get back to your shops, put that new found knowletdge to use so we can resume drooling over the incredible guitars you folks are putting out (and smiley faced ukes too).

The pictures are helpful to those who were there! There was so much going on that I feel I missed a lot of really great stuff. I wish I could clone myself sometimes.

Uhh...Mike, even if you cloned yourself, it wouldn't matter, unless you find some way of downloading their experiences from their brains to yours, or could develop some sort of telepathic mind link or somethin'.
But who cares about my dim-witted, goofball rant anyway?

Hi Bob,

Bob Gleason is a great guy. He's contributed tremendously to our uke building club both in time and information. It's nice to have good people like that around.

Thanks for asking about the shop. It's pretty much done but I have a couple of big "honey-dos" that have to be completed before I'm allowed to play in the shop.

I somehow missed meeting Bob, dagnabit. I corresponded with him awhile back about setting up my fret saw and he was a big help. It would have been nice to thank him in person. I remember seeing the slab of koa though, how could you miss that. Zootman, you didn't happen to take it home did ya?

   Bob and I hooked up and we were next to each other. A heck of a nice guy. Easy to talk to and a wealth of information. He also has the nicest Koa I ever seen.

WOW...I just got to the forum after a week absence and the electricity is palpable. Thanks to all who posted pics, comments and experiences. I'm still no even close to all the posts I've missed.
