I'm working on another L00. Addy top from my buddy Bill Greene, EIR with purpleheart bindings. Rosette is maple burl with purple purfling.

I made a router template and installed the sound port binding before bending the sides. Just need to cut out the port.



double m&t block with mahog veneer to hide the plywood which is visible through the soundport.


First time working with red spruce. When he gave me the top, Bill said he thought it was a little homely, but I think it has character.

 Hesh, it looks like your shop is in a regular room of your house.
I'm relegated to the garage.  How do you keep the dust down in the shop and in the rest of the house?  Or maybe you kicked the wife out?

Hesh, how do you handle finishing?  I have only one room so production is shut down until finishing is done.  I must say yours is the first carpeted workshop I've seen!

And here is the my son's electric that has seemed to avoid every birthday for at least 4 years. Mayhaps this year!!!
It has some very nice Koa bindings and they have been masked and shellaced in preparation for a faded blue-jean burst. Wish me luck!! Oh and the nice maple came from the young man Jason Voth who used to frequent this fine site.

Yep I buggard to bridge anchor a bit but it's well under the bridge and tight.

There is another half to the power tool room where table saw, router table spindle sander, belt sander and jig saw are, but my wife has the floor in that part stacked high with misc stuff right now and she would not let me post the pics showing that I have to go get the tool I need from that area an pull it out to where I can use it right now Also I have a 10 x 10 room that is my spray room and a hallway between the spray room and the power tool room that has shelf where I sticker my wood. none of it is fancy at all but gets the job done. The shop was my grandfather's old cabinet shop. I really need to re-drywall the whole place. But Heck!, I would have to stop building for a month or two to do that and I just cant seem to run out of commissions to find the time.
