Hey, that's so cool. I grew up on the west coast of Canada and have many friends that said when they were diving they had been attacked by large octopus.

Well to be fair, they were probably provoking the octopus a little.

The suckers could never get a good hold on their wet suits, so they managed to free themselves. Looks like they were lucky!

Indeed. I live and dive here on the west coast, havn't seen any octopi yet let alone been attacked by one. I'll have to keep my eyes open next time I go down under

Wow! Thanks for posting this, Rod. Maybe taming an octopus to be a
dive or surf partner would be good security.
