Why do you want your spruce to come from Italy?

I have used nearly every spruce available, including blue, white, lutz, etc. I've also used Douglas Fir, redwood, cedar and various other non-spruce materials. I am making an African Blackwood guitar for myself and several others of the same material for others. Italian Spruce and African Blackwood make a great combination that is very pleasing to my ears and those of past customers. So, I am sticking with this combination for now. That's it in a nut shell.

Thanks, Don

Thanks to Guy for pointing me to this topic ... I am the German guy who has spurce from all European origins (Germany, Austria, Alpine/Switzerland, Czech, France, Italy etc.). If you don?t find what you are looking for at the sponsors feel free to stop by at my web site (see below).

@ ebony buttons: a lot of the wood buttons used today on various machine heads come from a German company (Cedros), I know the owner and I?d be glad to help, send me an email if interested.

Regards,

Martin
