This isn't the ambrosia limba I had in mind yet, but it's nice. QS, denser than average stuff. Ambrosia beetle holes I saw are circled in white. The really cool ambrosia streaks are in flatsawn timbers I looked at today and I don't think they make good acoustic backs.

Larry,

If you have any more walnut like set 12 on the first page for $65 I would realy like a set of that to fill out the order, however I am stoked to have that lovely Ziricote set and that sexy Black Limba with the red stripe, my OLF swapmeet wish has come true.

Any idea when you will list the Ambrosia Limba??

Cheers

Kim

I would also be interested in a set of QS ziricote that looks like that set 01, if you've got sister sets.

I see that magnificent Ziricote set lasted less than 60 seconds! Kim, you are quick on the trigger! That and that really cool and unusual Limba are excellent snags, my friend!

Larry, you've got some really nice wood!

Dennis

Larry,  you don't happen to have another set of that Limba do you?  If you have another set that looks like 2 and 3 for the same price I would love to add that to my growing order.   Tom and Kim beat me to the other two sets.

I do have more of that black limba type and will cut out some more sets to post. It's really unique due to it's density and crisp, clean mineral lines. For those who regard tap tones, it's more to the rosewood side or very dense mahogany, but I have tinitus and bad hearing in one ear

I have more of the ziricote stock, but won't have time to cut more for the swap meet.

I have more figured Makore and flamed cherry and will be posting more photos

I dug out a quartersawn Ceylon Satinwood (the real deal) and am contemplating cutting a couple sets out of it.

The Sycamore went south on me. The dressed back billet is great, but the side billet revealed burl patches that are unsuitable for acoustic use when QS as they tend to open up..sorry James.

I have more figured Claro walnut.

I have a couple BRW orphan back sets, flatsawn but very stable and flat. I cut them out two years ago.

I have some curly, spalted Rock maple that I feel is very suitable for acoustic application as the wood fiber still has great integrity.

The big factor is TIME!! I'm not a pre-cut and sell off the shelf guy but cut stock as custom orders. Much of this stock is left from GAL and ASIA.

Hot diggedy dog!  Larry, just pick me out a nice set of the black limba then and slap my name on it.  If one set happens to have that nice red flame like Kim's set that is what I would prefer, but if not no biggie. I won't be online for a while and I don't want to miss out on the next batch you post. Thanks!

Larry, I'd be interested in 2 or 3 sets of the limba as well as the rosette blanks (when you find the time).
