I hope it sounds better than he did at the Earth Day Concert! It was as if he couldn't even remember the words.

Cool, I had heard his sons had talked him in to rereleasing some of his previous unpublished work. I wounder if this is it?

Tea for the Tilerman is a fabulous album. Longer Boats, Sad Lisa, I could go on for ever. Really one of the last great folk rockers

Ever hear the story of why he quit and his conversion to Islam?

Don't know Michael, but I suspect it was a premonition of what Disco was about to do to music.

Cheers

No.. He went for a swim alone in the pacific and got caught in a rip tide. He fought for an hour to escape the rip tide and thought he was a goner. He had not believed in a divine being prior to this but decided to pray. He soon found himself safe on the beach. He later claimed that in is semi conscious state that God told him to find his way. For a year after that he tried every conceivable religion under the sun from Buddhism to Judaism. He later claims he had a dream where God appeared to him and said only two words "commit totally" He had been reading a book a friend gave him on Islam that night so he took it as a divine guidance and thus we have Yusuf

By the way guys This was decades before the outbreak of the Islamic extremist or was fashionable for celebrities to claim they found the one true faith. He gave up every dime and luxury and followed his faith.
