Have you seen and heard the 'Springsteen Live in Dublin' DVD. Truly masterful.
His concerts always give you your money's worth (3-3 1/2 hrs. of great bring you to your feet music.

This concert is special because it combines what Springsteen has asways been about; the plight of the poor, the worker, the throwaways of society, with the Irish music of the same genre.
Man, when I hear that muffled base drum, fiddle, Irish whistles, and the myriad of other percussion sounds begin, my blood gets HOT. Either going to hear a lament or dirge of Irish History that is replete with subjugation, religious prejudice, complete degradation, and, lest we forget a 'noble' attempt at genocide; or a Shanty or didy that pulls you from your seat and forces you join the singing , clapping joy of the song personal that often contains both genres-at the same time.

I'm not a big Bruce fan but i find his new single Radio Nowhere quite good.

I'm not a huge fan either, but throughout his career he has championed the working man, the downtrodden, carrying on the tradition of Woodie Guthrie-and he will always have my greatest respect for his stand.

the Seeger sessions album is superb.

his Stadium Rock stuff doesn't do that much for me, but I'm betting that the Seeger Sessions and the DVD of the tour (of COURSE the Irish night!!) will open the door to traditional forms of music for a lot of rockers......

Ditto here too!

As for the Seager sessions I think that this is not only superb but it is the best Springstein that I have ever listened too.  His version of We Shall Overcome is incredible and once you hear it it goes through your head all day.....
