Man and I thought it was cold here. 70s one day 20s the next. Good morning or late morn any way

Wow, a cold snap here in South Carolina ... it's 44 degrees at noon. I'm outside using the belt sander to shape a neck & it's a bit brisk. For the last two weeks it's been in the seventies as daytime highs. The trade-off is that the humidity is high all the time. Back to work on that neck.

By the way---how does one (any one) make those cute little circles that mean degrees after the number? I know this was a discussion once, but I've lost that info.

The doorknob of my shop is frozen in the open position right now. I shot it with door lock spray but no dice. I think the 58? and 47%RH inside didn't like the -10? and 10%Rh outside and made some condensation inside the lock. We'll hope burglers are smarter than coming out when it's this cold.

Well I gotta hit the hay, so I can be up for the sun over the atlantic and all that....

well, it looks worse for us until -40, then metirc looks better <g> 3 weeks ago, we hit -47?c, which is -53?f.

You have a shop full of lock de-icer. Alcohol! Instead of paying the King's ransom for lock de-icer($2 for one oz. of alcohol!), just put some denatured alky in a small squeeze bottle(my ever favorite hair color bottles work great for this), and shoot a few oz. in there. Use a syringe if you have to. Then follow that with some spray oil to displace any moisture left behind.

Hey! How did this thing censor me? I wrote "cold in any d-a-m-n-e-d language", and it turned it into "darned". What's wrong with "dam" as a word? Does hell come out as heck(about to see...)

An alternative method to Mario's is hold down the Alt key and type 248 on the numeric keypad (°). Hey, what can I say, I'm lazy
