I love cherry and am lucky to live in an area were it is plentiful-southern New york state. I have resawn some curly cherry for the body of the guitar that I bought at www.lakeshorehardwood.com  and plan to go there on the 15th when I go to work at www.custompearlinlay.com for the day. Both sites worth checking out. The hardwood place will ship- he has tons of figures maple and Ambrosia maple as well. He gives a price break on shorts which is fine for a luthier- who doesn't need 10' boards. I would love to try using cherry for a neck to match the cherry body.
