I finally went and hit the buy it now button. I have wanted them for a while and just kept putting buying them off. I'm probably one of the few that payed full asking price but i got to say they were worth every penny. I have bought and rented all the others and these by far are the best. A lot of the others skip major parts because they assume you know it already. Thats a major mistake as far as i'm concerned. I pick up on something far easier by seening it done then reading about it. John show's you everything. Even his little boo boo's. He even has a sense of humor. If you have been thinking of getting them or you just want the best ones out. Get em you won't be sorry. Thanks John

Got em during the swap meet. Great stuff. Made a top and back joining
jig after seeing his. His method of keeping the top side of the side
straight and using the lining to create the top radius just made perfect
sense, and solved a few issues I'd been mulling over in my head. I have a
bunch of books and the OBrian DVD with stills, but it helps so much just
to see someone do it in in full motion, even if you end up doing things a
bit different.

I bought them from John, ala Swap Meet and Im just about 1/2 way through....
I would be finished by now but its always a day in the shop, finishing things up in there - with a DVD either before or afterwards,,,
I must say, seeing the process' of making a guitar finished step by step gives me confidence to get going on certain things I was a bit hesitant about.... Hes a funny guy too...
Cheers

You can often do better on the price if you buy them on eBay- (from John M., not forgeries)- if you're patient.

We just had a rash of this problem. We ended up replacing an old failing
DVD burner (I guess after 5,000+ burns they give way) as well as changed
media to the best you can get even though it's more expensive, and since
these changes (about 100 full sets ago) we have not had a single report of
DVD's not working. Please do contact me via e-mail or something and we
will replace your DVD's at no charge to you. Sorry you are having problems.

+1 on John's DVDs!

I've kind of been in a funk the last couple of months regarding building and the other night I popped in a couple of John's DVDs and before the video was over I had chisle in hand ready to carve on some braces. I figure if he can do it, anyone can! Just kidding.

Mitch....You will not be disappointed with the Johns CDs.....Be prepared to spend a lot of time in front of the TV...Hope this doesn't swell his head to much ....but ....they are the best that I have ever seen...

John... if you read this....Would you consider doing a instructional on bending sides for a cutaway ,,,,also on fretting.....Larry
