Hello everyone- and a big hello to those of you whom I have not yet met!
Good job here Lance! This should be a fun hang-out.
Today I am bracing up a top, on one of three instruments that I am going to have done and ready by September for the Wheatland festival.
Also, I'm planning out the dates for our next three meetings for this year. They'll be on saturdays, at three-month intervals, if Bryan's schedule agrees.
Hopefully, that other members will get over here and register themselves and say hello!

Go Blue, from a Buckeye :)

Tell me more about your group. When and where do you meet? What time do the meetings start? Are they open to Buckeyes?

Hi Tim!
I had been having a weekly meeting with a bunch of folks over in Grand Rapids, and Lance had a start on a group that was here on his website.
At the ASIA meet, Bryan Galloup suggested to me that we start a state-wide builders' group and that he would sponsor it...and I had been thinking about that anyway. So Lance and I got together and here we are! We had our first meeting last tuesday up at Bryan's Guitar Hospital. Maybe you saw some of the pictures that Lance posted. We plan on meeting up every three months, and heck yes- Buckeyes or anyone else is invited.
Watch this board for the meeting dates, the next one will be in October. Mark Swanson38541.8429166667

Well, I'm gonna have to come out there for a meeting sometime! Heck, you guys are always welcome to an NEL meeting. Good luck with the group!

I just wish to point out that I do live NORTH of Old State Line Road that runs parallel to the current MI border. Do I qualify for membership?

Good Luck!

Hey Mark,

Well, Lance did try to let me know of the meeting, and if I had check my e-mail, I might have made it. I'll monitor it better in anticipation of the next meeting! Also, thanks to Bryan for offering the location. Learning of his operation from a FSU alumni magazine is what sparked the flames of an obsession for me despite the fact I've not built, yet!!!!!!

Lance, this is great that the MGL has taken flight! I can't wait to be more than a novice/observer. Currently I'm working on summer "honey-do's" and another burgeoning obsession ( 1981 Honda CM400C).

How far is Bryan's place from Toledo? I'm a 1.5 hours south of there.

I dunno, I've never been to Toledo. but you can go to Bryan's website where there are maps and the address, which you plug into Google or Yahoo maps and see how far from your door. Galloup Guitars website
