Today I was able to close up the box on my next dreadnought. Its a refreshing change to make one of these every so often. This one is coming out nice. IT will be going with me to Miami, but im unsure about the Montreal show, being it has Brw back and sides.

The box is very resonant and loud when tapped, so I am hopping that this translates to the final product.

Thanks for looking!

Oh yeah, this is for OLF'er John Creech, he should be joining me in Miami to demo this guitar.

Beautiful dread Lance and it should be a nice combo with Carp and BRW.

John will love this one I am sure.

If you get a chance how about a pic of the rosette?

Thanks guys,

Hesh, here is the only pic I have at work of the Rosette, its a segmented brazilian ring with green heart inlay, b/w/b inner and outer ring on the wood and shell.

Ken, I look forward to meeting you too!

Nice looking dread, Lance. The rosette is outstanding too. What kind of binding/purfling scheme do you have planned for this one?

See ya'll in Miami!

LOL !!!  I first looked at the title of your post and thought..."what is he carping about now"......

But, in my limited knowledge I now realize that it is about Carpathian Spruce!

What a great looking box!  I can see that it will be a great looking guitar very soon!  Beautiful rosette, too.

I am more and more amazed with each step how beautiful this instrument will be. Lance, buddy, you're doing an amazing job. I can hardly wait for Miami! And to think that my relationship with the OLF (Lance, in particular) started with a simple Google search for "luthier forum." Hahahaha! What a blessing!
