The tutorials are great! I really appreciate it when somebody spends the time and effort to show how the solve a problem.

I also appreciate that fact that I can post the occasional "dumb question" and get some really helpful responses.

And I appreciate being able to give really dumb answers to otherwise very good questions.

I have seen the methods that some builders use to build guitars and have to scratch my head as to their reasoning. One example of this is that Breedlove puts a bridge doctor on every guitar they build. For the life of me I dont understand why they do it and wouldnt even consider doing it myself. The bottom line is that they do produce some outstanding guitars (not all of them, but some.) I am still interested in why it works.

I was taught to build by a master of the craft, but I have strayed from his teachings somewhat. Some of it I learned by reading statements on this forum and some on other forums and web pages. At present I am happy with the quality of my guitars, but I may experiment with other more radical ideas as time goes along. I am always interested in new thinking.

On the other hand, I am more than happy to share what I know too. I hope that some of my posts are educational for some of the newer builders. It is always good to pitch an idea out there to the wolves and see what comes of it.

Healthy discussion has led us to find better ways to collect our dust, work safer and healthier, brought new finishing techniques and better craftsmanship ideas. I am thrilled that this forum exists!

Because most of the people I talk to about guitar building just roll there eyes in a panic stricken way, shudder, then talk about hockey(or whatever), pretending that the guitar building topic never occurred.

Y'all are my peeps!

I get a lot of good ideas from reading these posts, and the photos are sometimes very inspiring. I also get a kick out of the regular posters personalities(or lack of). This site is really great, I check it out almost every day.

The true measure of a craftsman's soul can be measured by all he has built, multiplied by all that he has cursed at the things he is building.

Seriously, I'm here because it's by far the best forum bar none on any topic on the web IMHO. I'm amazed at the knowledge and experience mixed with good humor.(Most of the time people even get my feeble attempts at humor) But above all the willingness to share that I see here. Thanks to all for a great forum... (and the drama...)
