HI Guys

I managed to break my old knife that i use for fingerboard seperations An old friend, I am struggling to find a good replacement, anyone got any suggested sources ?

I'm fairly certain that LMI and STU/MAC sell one.

Look in artist supply stores. I use the artist knives and a few that I made myself.
    They are thin and plyable

Bob I did get one from Stewmac, but to me it is too short, as it doesn't allow you to go in dead flat, without risking dinging the soundboard with the handle.

I hadn't thought of artist supply I have one locally so will have a look thanks.

the stew-mac knife with the wedge cross section blade is for running up the neck once you have the separation started. thin pallette knives ground even thinner are needed to get the fb extension loosened and the neck separation started. you can even get pallette knives with offset blades. artist supply houses are best source.crazymanmichael38551.3824884259

Thats the one I have, know I see what it is for

I use an old fillet knife that I ground safe.Once I get it started it separates the board easily.
