One of my clients is moving back to London next week and asked me for a referral
to someone in there who will do a neck reset on his Hofner archtop.
Any ideas would be most welcome.
Best, Evan

Evan,

Dave King has a great reputation. His repair workshop is in Denmark Street, London so your client can visit all the guitar shops when they drop it off :D

Details are here.

Yes, another vote here for Dave King. Look no further.

Thanks so much guys, I should have thought of Dave as I have read numerous articles by him.

i'm in Manchester UK but I'm reasonably familiar with hofner neck-sets, little too far to come for that alone though possibly!
The last one I did had divots in the fingerboard you could plant potatoes in, and a neck that you could throw across a room and watch it come back to you! All came good in the end though after a re-fret etc.
I even made some feedback busters for the f-holes so it could be used on stage.
Strange neck joint on those things, amazing to think they hold as long as they do!

Appologies - i thought I was logged in, it came up as 'guest' though. My names Steve Curtis, I run a repair/ build shop in Manchester UK. Our websites still in its early days - too busy with repairs!
