I've had emails now from ASIA as well as The Fretboard Journal with renewal notice's.

My guess is many other's have gotten the same emails.

I'm just wondering if these two items will be part of the OLF subscription package again as I would like to still get both Guitarmaker and The Fretboard Journal. I know I can sign renew my subscription with each organization on my own, but if they will be included in my OLF subscription I'd wait.

So, I know that Lance and Brock are up to their eyeballs in alligators but I figure this is also worth mentioning as renewal time is upon us.

Thanks guys.

Brock or Lance already said that ASIA is not included.

Oh, thanks Jim. I missed that when ever it was mentioned.

We are still working out the details on 2008. It is our intention that the FBJ will be included, and ASIA (for sure) will not be included.

I must have missed something...There's a subscription to OLF?

Where and how do you sign up for that?

It is entirely optional. It is a way for members to help financially support the forum.

It usually has a goodie bag of stuff that goes along with it. Last year it included an ASIA membership (which by association also contained a subscription to acoustic guitar mag), a subscription to the Fretboard Journal, a t-shirt, a mug, and a bunch of coupons from sponsors for everything from discounts to free shipping.

It has been a pretty good deal for everyone involved.

We have had a few changes this year and with the software move we haven't quite got around to putting a package of stuff together yet.

Plus the pick, pack and ship scares us now. Lance and I have done it in the past and as the forum grows it makes it harder and harder for us to do this. Last year nearly killed Lance. We are trying to find suppliers who can either drop ship, or a small fulfillment house (that isn't crazy expensive) to help.

Yeah let's not make Lance like Kenny on South Park........

Besides some of us want to play golf with Lance sometime and if we work him to death it would be whack the ball, drag Lance, whack the ball, drag Lance....... :D

Ok, so I get that its entirely optional...so does that mean you guys will let me know where and how to sign up when you get a package put together? Not that I wish any harm on Lance or Brock, but I want to support the forum and I like goodie bags...

They're probably in my shop, somewhere. I'll spend a couple of hours looking tonight when I get home. Everything else is in there! :)

Speaking of subscriptions....I wanted to know if the other Canadian members received all of their membership benefits last year? I never received the sponser coupons and wasn't sure if there were exclusions for Canada, or perhaps I was simply missed on the mailings...

Please let me know if you had a similar experience,

Thanks,

Laurie
