Wouldn't a phone call to the supplier solve the problem? Sometimes the old fashion methods work best! :D

Did you have a window open from this forum when it happened?

Jody,
I don't think that the ad had taken over your computer with no solicitation. Instead,
it appears that your accidental...and unknown....keystrokes obviously prompted a
command for the ad to open.

If it had just appeared with no prompt like an unwanted pop-up, I'd say that it could
be a problem that had been initiated on the vendor's end, but that's not the case.

I'm sure Brock and/or Lance will be able to help you figure out what you told your
computer to do unknowingly and how to get rid of the ad and back to that chat box.

I've dome similar things with a single accidental key stroke and had no idea how to
find my way home from where it took me....very frustrating stuff....and with my well
established tendency toward committing typos, it will probably not be the last time.

Regards,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars

If you have the latest IE browser (MSIE 7.0), there is a way using the CTRL with another key that will open up a website/s in your favourites subfolder and made it a dominant page as with the feature of MSIE 7.0 - I am guessing that's what happened, not a pop-up.

9 times out of 10 this can be confirmed with doing a spyware scan- most if not all unsolicited popups comes with spyware.
