Anyone have any tips on how to tighten up a bridge pin hole slightly. I used my new reamer from StewMac and man that dude cuts quick. Before I knew it I had reamed a little too much. I would prefer not to use the oversized pins if possible.

I was thinking maybe a little meduim CA swabbed around the holes might do the trick. Any other suggestions?

On the pins and not in the holes....duh

This is the reason I ask these questions here. Your way sounds much easier and less prone to screwing up the finish with an errant drop of CA.

Thanks Todd!

Just for sake of discussion why not over-sized pins? To my mind over-sized pins make more since than adding a coating on the pin as that coating can wear off. (not saying it is going to any time soon) Are you using some special pins not available in over size? Plus the fact that you are not likely to get the coating thickness the same thickness or concentricty on every pin

How loose are the pins?
Have you actually tried the strings yet?? You may not have to do anything to fix the lower ones due to their diameter.......?

Three of the six pins are loose enough that I'm afraid they might cause a rattle and one of them could actually fall out if you turned the guitar face down. I'm sure the oversized pins from StewMac would do the job, but I don't have anything else to order right now and was just looking for another way around this.

Oops, David I have tried them with the strings in. Still a little loose.
