Here is the latest on the local Ann Arbor weather:

My read of this is that they are calling for at the worst 4" here over a 24 hour period. It looks as if the Detroit area, near the rivers will get the brunt of the snow and Ann Arbor is a good 45 miles west of this.

So sports fans I think that any one local or coming from the north, west, and southwest should be OK based on the current info. Those coming from the south and south east will have the brunt of the weather to deal will.

With this said and if David agrees I am all for going forward with the gathering but everyone, based on your own individual circumstances, should use your own judgment as to if it is safe to travel for you.

David what are your thoughts?

Columbus,Ohio...I have 4 wheel drive and have been told I drive like "an old lady", don't let that get out. I live in the country and drive into the city,Columbus, for work and I'm always dealing with the weather. I think I'll see what tomorrow morning brings and decide. Do you want a courtesy call on your cell if I don't make the trip? Clinton

Well they cancelled the snow advisory last night, and reissued it by this afternoon. We may see 2 to 6 inches or more, or maybe less. I think I heard something about clams falling from the sky too. I guess we'll just have to wait until morning to see.

I'll be at the shop, make sure to get my number to call if anyone needs to make contact. I've seen very few cell phones that can pick up down in the bomb shelter, so if you have Hesh's cell number it will likely be out of range.

I'll see whoever makes it. idunno

They are telling us 10 - 12" is going to fall tonight (there is probably 4 - 5 on the ground now). And the area a little to the north of Columbus might see as much as 16" by tomorrow afternoon.

Who da thunk it... it almost never snows here.

Curse of the MGL. We've seen it before.

Either that, or it's divine intervention to keep you Buckeyes out of Ann Arbor. 8-)

Good Morning - Here is an update on the current local (Ann Arbor) conditions as of 7:18 AM EST.

If we received any snow at all last night it was just a very slight dusting, not as much as the thickness of a top.... :D

So we are good to go today with the gathering :)

Plenty of snow in Cleveland but I am hitting the road in 4WD and hoping it will get better as I drive west.

See you in a few hours.

I just got off the phone with Brad and he is on his way.

Lance I borrowed a HD Video camera and will be set-up here to get sound and video of your guitar if you want. We just need to find someone to do the playing if you don't want to. I was hoping to get someone to permit me to video them so this is available to you too.

We're getting creamed with 12 inches on the ground and it's still coming down hard. Man, I was really looking forward to this gathering. gaah gaah Hopefully, you guys will do this again. Pictures of me this morning trying to get out of my 500 ft. drive.

Clinton my friend you guys did indeed get hammered........

I am sure that we will do this again and one of the things on the agenda today is to discuss meeting on a regular basis in the future.

Sorry you couldn't make it Clinton but we will catch you next time.

I guess that is your good fortune then... ;)

But in all seriousness. It is a bummer, I was looking forward to this. We have at least a foot on the ground now and it is snowing like a madman... they are saying this is going to continue for another 6 hours. I bet we will easy have 20" if this keeps at it this hard for another 6 hours
