Dear Masters,

i figure this is the best place to get a trustworthy advice so i turn to you.

I recently bought an Ibanez Artcore AS103 custom semi hollow body guitar. I happened to stain the neck with a chemical pen ink (not badly), and proceeded to clean it with 70% Ispropyl alcohol swab. Then i realized that this might not have been such a good idea i read in the internet that one is never supposed to use alcohol to clean the guitar. My question is- does anybody know what kind of finish is used on my guitar (i couldn't find that info anywhere on the net) , and secondly what is the best way to clean and maintain it(i hope i haven't busted it, it doesn't look like i have but still...).

Your probably ok because I believe that the finish is catalyzed urethane But no do not use alcohol to clean your guitar. A lightly damp lint free cloth is all you should ever use.
