Here it is, set it up a couple of weeks ago. Englemann spruce top, cocobolo B&S that could qualify as beeswing, Braz bridge and headplate, ebony FB and bloodwood trim. Very responsive, delicate sounding and not all that powerful, I will attribute that to the Englemann top. Sorry for the reflections, I'm not very good at taking pics but I'm working at it…
Can't post samples for a while, I injured my left index finger (cutting an avocado, out of all things…). Thanks for looking!

Wow! The cocobolo and bloodwood combo really works on this one. Congrats Laurent, that is a great looking guitar! Can't wait till your finger heals up and we can get a soundclip.

Another lovely guitar of yours - very elegant and balanced letting the woods speak for themselves. I'll say it again meaning it as a compliment - I see lots of Stefan Sobell "echoes" in there but I like the way your guitars have your "style" and signature. What are the guitars "vital statistics"?

Hope the avocado tasted good and was worth the pain.

Dave, the avocado was good, no doubt.
The guitar's vital statistics (not sure what you exactly mean BTW) are 1 3/4" nut width, 2 5/16" bridge string spacing, very slender neck, ebony pins, bone nut and saddle, oil varnish. I make my own purflings and rosette, that was my 2007 theme. Forgot to add a pic of the tail and a blurry pic of the trim.

That's a beautiful instrument Laurent...great details. I love the visual movement of the rosette. Very cool.
Great set of coco too...that set has it all...quartersawn, beeswing, spiderwebbing, and ink lines. Yep. A winner.

That's a very well thought out composition in wood and metal. The cocobolo is beautiful. I generally think that bloodwood bindings contrast too much but with that cocobolo it's just right. Do you have a tutorial on the purflings?

Ken, I actually liked your tutorial on making a rosette, cool and nicely tied to Spanish tradition.
I thought of taking pictures when I made the last batch last week. Alas I am lazy…

Laurent, most have covered my thoughts. I do really like the bookmatch of the back. Something tells me pictures do not do this guitar justice as I am not sure I am seeing the purflings as you would in person.

I think it was Ken above who mentioned not being fond of bloodwood binding...I am in the same camp but it sure looks nice with the Cocobolo.

Great guitar as always Laurent, you always take such care in the overall aesthetics, I like your style.
