So, I'm in the crunch of finishing and assembling a couple of small bodies for Miami when my dear wife (who is in her own crunch of getting a batch of BeauGuard pickguards ready) pulls up lame last week with a tummy ache. I figure, okay, I'll put her to bed with some comfort food and a couple of videos, charge up the walkie talkies so she can give me a holler in the shop if it's dire and we'll ride it out for a couple of days 'till we're good... But No.... a week ago Tuesday she gives me the elbow in the ribs at 1 AM and sez this ain't a virus, fire up the chariot, we're going to the ER. She's right (she usually is; I married way above my intellect), and the nurses and surgeon confirm, adios appendix.
So, I've had maybe 45 minutes of uninterrupted time to concentrate on final assembly in the last 7 days... To top it off all the critters (cats and dog) know something's up, so they're all flippy too...
Sorry (Grumpy) for the off topic- it's just been a week...
-C

Just joshing you Chas....I'm glad they got your wife's appendix out in time - could have been nasty!! eek
Hope she makes a swift recovery.

Good luck with it all - hope you get those guitars ready in time for the show. Don't forget to post some piccies! (of the guitars, not the appendix..... duh )

I'm glad she's ok! Sounds like a bad week for sure.
I had one of those a month or so ago, first my basement flooded from a bad rain, and the same night I was cleaning that up, I contracted food poisoning. Nasty nasty thing.

Well I see its been a week for everyone. I know misery loves company and what not, but....

Chas, hope the wife makes a complete and swift recovery. At least she won't have to go through it again.

Don, I'm so sorry. I feel your pain, well I felt it. I spent the weekend in bed or in the bathroom. Food poisoning is no fun, but it really bites when you do it to yourself. I really do need to write the date on leftovers when I put them in the fridge. I've proven my memory is not reliable these days.

Chas buddy there must be something in the air - I just had the same thing happen to me about a month ago - sitting at work and my side decides to go on the rampage - they got it out just before the bursting part came into play. I hope your wife is feeling better soon! [:Y:]

NO situps for a while!

Chas buddy you did a nice thing with the videos and comfort food and I am sure that your wife appreciated the caring.

When I had my appendix out I insisted that Michigan's auto-repair regulations applied to hospitals too and I demanded that they returned my defective parts to me after the surgery............. Wanna see a baggie with my appendix in it? :D

Please give our best to your wife and know too that you have our best wishes in getting ready for Miami.

Thank God that you married up.

I'm not sure that I did, but my wife is.

Glad to hear that all is well, except for the guitar completion deadline...But they are just guitars.

Glad to ehar that you caught it in time and all is well with the wife. I'll be the first to say that my wife has kept me out of more trouble than I could have possibly gotten into.

Hope to see you soon at Miami too. I'm in the same mad rush to have everything completed in time for the show too.
