Hello,

Does anyone know where I can order/buy a decent replacement conveyor belt for a Perfromax 16/32 drum sander.
I found a resonably priced outfit but they don't ship up here. gaah

Thanks,

Ray

G'day Ray

Can't help you with supply (I'm in Australia) but I would advise NOT to get the
rubber replacement conveyer.

We recently replaced ours and got talked into getting the rubber one instead of the sandpaper type that originally came with the 16/32 and it's crap.

It constantly slips and doesn't hold the wood nearly as well as the original.

I've just finish sanded 35 Blackwood sets and I've had to hold every one of them down on the conveyor so I'm not happy.

They both cost around $85 here in Oz.

Cheers

Bob

try Industrial Abrasives. I've been buying belts for my 22-44 from them. I think you have to buy a minimum of 2 but they are really cheap and work well. You just need to know the dimensions and they will make them up for you.

Woodcraft carries them also. You can buy online or in the store.

It's been a little while since I bought mine, but I think it was somewhere around $45-$50

I just bought two from Rockler as well - around $50 each - I think they ship to Canada...
