Hi Geoff,
Sure looks and sounds great.
A few questions-
What size is the uke
No vent holes? Does it not need them?
It looks elegant without the holes

Jeff

Jeff-

It's a concert uke with a 14.75" scale length.

I struggled with soundports, but National never used them.

Dobro used round holes, f-holes and, occasional, a single screen.

I wanted to stay, a bit, true to tradition. I'm looking for a spider bridge and cone to explore soundports and holes.

I appreciate the comment "elegant". I'm really blown away by it's simple looks.

Thanks for the questions.

All images are from http://www.notecannons.com a "must visit" for vintage reso nuts.

Nice work !
I have to ask though, how do you reinforce the top ? I am trying to figure out how to make a mountain banjo with a 6" head (the skin and tensioning stuff) which will go into an 11" body.

Any hints ?

Thanks
Nick

Where do you get parts for those things? Recently discovered resophonic ukes and decided they are too cool to not have at least one so I'm kinda sorta doing some research on building one
