Hey Guys and Gals,
I just found out that my mother (64) was diagnosed with a rare, agressive form of cancer (neuroendrocrine carsinoma). If you would, please pray for our family. Thanks, Brian

Sure thing, what's your mother's name?

While we are at it. My sister just got married six weeks ago. (She lost her first husband of 30 years a couple years back.) Two weeks ago her new husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor called glioblastoma. It too is aggressive and inoperable. Radiation, Chemo, and prayer are our weapons. His name is Mike.

Father you know our needs, you custom made each of us. You are worth all of our adoration, and I give it to you now. Please meet the spoken and unspoken needs, show yourself strong and mighty, and display Your awesome power to and through broken people Lord. Our lives are in your hands, we desperately need your hand in our lives. Thank you that you forgive our sins when we confess them to You. Please make Your healing presence known in these individuals. Holy Spirit draw us all closer to you that we may live the way you want us to. Thank You for your faithfulness, lovingkindness, and all You are. I love you Jesus.

Brian,

I am so sorry to hear this news. My wife is a breast cancer survivor. Cancer diagnosis and especially treatments have improved greatly in recent years. Get the best possible physicians/oncologists at the best possible cancer treatment center on your side. You, your mom, and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dennis

Brian,
I'm sure I can speak for everyone on the forum when I say that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Keep your chin up and let me know if there's anything I can personally do.

My prayers are with you and your family. So many of us have been touched by cancer. Less than a year ago we lost our nephew (21) to an unknown form of Cancer that had never been seen before. We prayed for a miricle and we received one, we watched a young man touch an entire comunity with his strength and faith. God always answers our prayers.

Father God, I lift Brian's mother and Bruce's sister up to you now...I ask that you send your peace that passes our understanding to rest on them and their families as they toss in this storm of uncertainty...they cannot know the outcome of these illnesses as you do Father, but they can know that you are in control now as you were when you calmed the wind and waves your disciples feared...you created all of us and can heal us without lifting a hand...I ask that you would bring glory to your name with complete healing Father, knowing in every case, your perfect will is accomplished...in your Holy and matchless name...Amen.   Please keep us posted Brian and Bruce...

When my Mom came down with cancer I can remember how annoyed I was that EVERYONE had a story. "My great uncle Herb had cancer...", "My wife's sister's ex-boyfriend had cancer..."
But I've come to the conclusion that It's better to hear those stories as it means there are many people in the same boat as you and many people that understand your pain. It sucks. That's all there is to it. Watching someone you love have to work that hard just to stay alive is the most painful, helpless feeling I hope to ever have.
Arvey is right that God ALWAYS answers our prayers. It just might not be the answer we were looking for. So when my Mom was sick, instead of praying for her to get better, I tried hard to pray that she be at peace and free of pain. And it worked.
Remember sometimes He calms the storm and other times he calms the child.
Blessings to your family. PaulPwoolson38563.5072685185

This is Mike Smith and my sister Paula. Four weeks after their wedding, they got the news he had a basically incurable type of cancer an inoperable brain tumor. Didn't mean to hijack the thread, sorry.

Brian you know we wish your Mom the best and our prayers are for a successful outcome, be it medical or miracle.

Bruce,
You didn't hijack the thread. It is so comforting to know that so many of you are praying and thinking and caring. Bruce I will continue to pray for Mike and your sister.

Brian & Bruce: We are adding your loved ones to our prayer list. Here is a link to a site that has extremely miraculous success in treating later stage cancer, specifically brain tumors -

http://cancermed.com/

Please pray for Turkey. They just experienced an earth quake just minutes ago. My wife was chatting with a person on line when it hit. 5.5 on the Ricter scale.
