Man oh' man! Your guitar sounds great, very sweet and mellow! Just beautiful! If I could play that well after a 10 yr. hiatus, I would be thrilled. I still make mistakes on stuff I've played probably a thousand times. Good job!!!

Considering how you built it (bunch of research, care, dryruns, care, quality wood (more than some pro builders spend) etc), it should have sounded pretty good, isn't? The clip shows it's even better, too good for a first, you cheater!

Great job playing and recording Waddy, and thank you for posting the sound-clip.

I like Lagrima for a first critical listening of a new guitar because it emphasizes the 1-E string nicely which, in my opinion, is most of all vitally important to a good sounding classical guitar because of it’s melodic role. Of course everything else is also important but that’s what I listen for first.

After hearing your clip several times, I’m impressed with the sound of your guitar; overall I hear a pleasing warm Spanish character, nice balance. Your 1-E string is strong, good clarity and consistency over the range of the fingerboard.

I know what you mean about recording, everything changes when the red light comes on. The slow melody of Lagrima puts high demand on each note; it’s a difficult piece to play all the way through clean.

What a wonderful tone the instrument produces. As was said before, it is very sweet and mellow. And, your playing is way better than mine! I sometimes wonder if we humans get apoplectic when red rlights come on...... You didn't!

Waddy, it sounded dead flat across the strings and from what I could hear in different fret positions as well. That is all very good! Kudos to you! Take a well deserved bow!

Congratulations, Waddy! The guitar's voice is lovely--very pure and full of vitality. I would love to play this guitar.

Thanks Bob, and Gary. It is fun to play my own creation. I hope it drives me to improve my playing, and my building. I wish you could all hear it in person and play it. The recording does not do it justice. The highs have a shimmer with overtones that I really like. It is hard to explain.
