Anyone see AI last night? Who makes the guitar that Jason fellow was playing?

The guitar had an "alternative" soundhole design - kind of like three semicircles in a triangle with the center section and the three outer sections removed to let the sound out. The headstock had a crescent shaped logo with a kind of dagger through it.

I have been messing around with different soundhole ideas using my laser to cut out all kinds of weird and wonderful designs. This was one of them. Rats, that means I can't use it. Below is one of my drawings (done with Corel Draw)....

That symbol was the symbol that Third Day used for their logo for a while. I havent seen it being used on their last few CD's though.

I cant say that Jason is one of my favorite Idol stars either.

on a funny note, I just leaned over and asked my wife which Idol it was that had the dreadnought hair....she said "dreadnought hair?" laughing6-hehe laughing6-hehe OOPS!

Ken, that's a popular interpretation of the Triquetra symbol. Kind of an ancient symbol, but it has meanings in a few different contexts. It's big in Celtic artwork, and it became heavily associated with Christian symolism around the time of Saint Peter in the late 400's. Before that it was mostly associated with Germanic religious traditions. The history on it is totally interesting. I found more on Wikipedia, but the St. Patrick bit is something I didn't see in my quick skim of the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triquetra
