Hi gang,

I have a commission bubbling through the spec stage.

he's asking about birdseye maple binding......

anyone suggest a supplier? I don't remember ever seeing it anywhere

At the scale of binding, it will be difficult to get Bird's Eye Maple to reveal its treasure.

That was my thought, too, but what do I know. Seems like some really curly maple bindings would show off better.

And if the commission is just in love with birds eye trim, you could offer the alternate of the heel cap.

It depends on the birds eye.
If you can find some densely figured stuff, it could be fine.
There is a randomness about it that is a cool look IMO.
