These are not really guitars per se! Perhaps more fitting the GLO reference than commonly used on this forum.

Yamaha EZ-EG
Image

The EZ-EG has a lit fretboard to show chords for beginners and has 9 "realistic" guitar and 8 bass guitar sounds, plus b*nj*, shamisen, and piano and even a rhythm section. Even has a wanger, electronic capo and comes preloaded with 3 songs (Yes Hesh, "Smoke on the Water" is one of them :D ) Runs off of 6 AA batteries or plugin adapter.

Almost forgot - built in speaker! A very "popular" option!

Casio DG-10
Casio... Yup.. the Krappy Keyboard Kreators have gotten in the ...guitar biz so to speak! It's got 6 strings but you don't tune them, they are essentially transducers and the keyboard/fretboard are switches that tell the processor what note to play. You can do slides, Sabbath style frills... !

You can plug it into an amp and it's reported to sound somewhat "credible"! Great for learning? Midi capable.

Don't forget the links on the bottom of the page to the NES Paul Image

And my favorite the Segacaster

I think both of these are very very cool. Certainly not for the mainstream, but cool nonetheless.

That last one looks like something that Josie and the Pussy Cats would play.

Spuler - Paradis
Teuffel - Birdfish
Pagelli, obviously, but what type? Huhm?

Really big fan of the Birdfish here!!! Really like the Tesla too!

I don't think Spuler is making guitars anymore, he went back to industrial design! :(

Man! I hope those aren't speakers on that Pagelli! gaah
