wondering if anyone can help me out. i'm trying to get a hold of a canadian source for a d-tar wavelength and volume and tone control, but it seems like d-tar is hardly available in canada. they've got a canadian distributor (whom i spoke with) and they sent me to a local retailer. so i call one of the local retailers and they have never heard of d-tar and don't offer to order me one.

so i get on to d-tar's web site and send my question - but both of my email attempts have bounced back. i even pm'ed rick through the forum a while back but haven't heard from him. rick, are you out there?

7 or 8 months ago i was able to get one unit from the distributor and thought my problem had been solved. now that even that has dried up, it seems like i'm going to be back to shopping state-side. i'm pretty sold on the product (and even said some very flattering things to them in the emails that bounced back). but i sure would like to buy the product here in canada and can't seem to do it.

There are some very strong reasons you should buy from a shop in the US or directly from D-Tar even though you're in Canada, though it might anger the management if I were to relate them here.

Hey Phil

Email is the best way to get into contact with Rick. You'll find his email address on the Renaissance Guitars website.

If you fail to find a source local to you, I have just become a DTAR preamp and pickup dealer and would be very pleased to ship you product from Ohio.

dan,
can i ask who you talk to at erikson? like i said in my first post, about 8 months ago i managed to get a pickup directly from them, but this time around i see that their web site has a big red note on it that says "we don't do retail." i was also told last time that because i'm not an official business i don't qualify for the great deal you're talkikng about. the price they ended up giving me was the same as the shoreline music price in the states.

don,
do you have a website? or would you be able to pm me with a price on a wavelength and v/t control?

thanks for the responses guys,

phil

Any word on that deal Rick was thinking of putting together a couple months back?

mattia,

i made sure to ask about the deal that rick mentioned in both of my emails to the d-tar sales people (i clicked on the 'contact us' on their web site), but darn it all, both of those emails bounced back.

i'm still hoping they come through on that promise - but sometimes things change - and i need to order a wavelength pretty soon so i don't know how long i can wait.
