I let my son start carving on one of my finished solid body electrics after I finished it months ago. I was planning on taping off the guitar exposing only the carved sections. How do you finish a carving? Rattle can lacquer? It seems too difficult to hand rub all the little crevices. Clinton

Most carvings i have ever seen have had hand padded finishing allowing the finisher to form their application pad in to a wedge to get into the recesses. Not what you probably wanted to here. Maybe someone else will have better or eaier method.

Actually I didn't think of padding a finish into the crevices. I FB so maybe I'll try a quasi FB. :D Where did you see carvings on a guitar? Clinton
